These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your use of velvetplate.com and any products, services, or content offered by Velvet Plate LLC (“Velvet Plate,” “we,” “us,” “our”). By using our website or purchasing our products, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use our services.
Velvet Plate offers the following products and services:
Velvet Plate may add, modify, or discontinue products at our discretion. We’ll notify active subscribers of material changes affecting their subscription.
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase any Velvet Plate product. By purchasing, you represent that you are 18 or older, have the legal authority to enter into this agreement, and are not prohibited from receiving our services under applicable laws.
To access subscription products, you’ll create a member account on velvetplate.com. You are responsible for:
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. and PayPal, Inc. By providing payment information, you authorize the relevant processor to charge the applicable amount and any taxes. We don’t store full card numbers on our servers.
Velvet Plate Plus, Experience, and Concierge subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period (monthly, annually, or every 6 months) until you cancel. You’ll receive an email confirmation each time your subscription renews.
You can cancel any subscription anytime from your member portal or by emailing info@velvetplate.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you’ll keep access until the period ends. We do not pro-rate refunds for partial billing periods.
Velvet Plate Plus members can pause their subscription for up to 60 days per calendar year. Pause requests are handled via the member portal or by email. During a pause, you don’t receive plan deliveries and you aren’t billed.

All content on Velvet Plate — including but not limited to recipes, photography, written content, brand marks, logos, design, and videos — is owned by Velvet Plate LLC or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
When you purchase a digital product, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it for your own personal use. You may not redistribute, share publicly, resell, or commercially exploit our content without our written permission.
If you submit content to Velvet Plate — reviews, testimonials, photos, recipe suggestions, or social media tags — you grant Velvet Plate LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use, reproduce, and display that content in connection with our marketing and operations. You retain ownership of your content.
You agree that any content you submit is original to you (or you have permission to share it), doesn’t violate anyone else’s rights, and isn’t defamatory or unlawful.
We may terminate or suspend your account and access to our services at our discretion, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue a product. You may close your account at any time by emailing us.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, wellness disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — will survive.
Velvet Plate’s services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don’t guarantee the services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific needs.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Velvet Plate LLC’s total liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or our services shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Velvet Plate LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and contractors from any claims, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of our services.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or our services shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
Before filing any legal action, we encourage you to email us at info@velvetplate.com first — most issues can be resolved quickly through direct conversation.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we’ll notify active subscribers by email and post the updated Terms with a new effective date. Continued use of our services after the updated Terms take effect means you accept the changes.
